Bush help perpetuate the crisis after the airplane incident with his tough talk and demands for immediate release of crew and plane. This is what brought on the Chinese's demand for an apology first. The Chinese were ready to return the crew after 48 hours prior to that. Maybe next time Bush won't be so quick to stick his foot in his mouth. The U.S. has plenty of problems to fix at home before pointing any fingers at China, less riots like Cincinnati spreads across the land.

The USA is surely sorry for the lost life and Chinese aircraft, and for the emergency incursion into Chinese airspace and landing.
We are also sorry for the damage to our aircraft which was on a legitimate recconnaissance flight over international waters. We do appriciate the care given to our downed crew.
I hope that cool heads will prevail in both countries and that better relations will result ultimately.

It is the furthest concession China government can go.
But for the sake of issue of human right, we must release the 24 US crewmen as soon as possible. Or the frendly relations between the two peoples will be seriously hurt especially under the publicily of American mass media.
As everybody knows the incident does not end completely.
The two governments must find reasonable resolutions
and the US side should take the full responsibility.

It is good to see that China has released the 24 Americans. Holding them or releasing them would not bring back a tragically lost life and in the long term, holding them longer would hurt the growing relationship between the US and China. With regard to core issue however "Did the US plane strike the F8 fighter piloted by Wang Wei .. or did Wang Wei on what we are being told was his third dare devil pass too close for safety to the US plane hit the propeller first?" I'd say the truth is easy to verify. China has the US aircraft. Simply retrieve the "black box" flight information module that automatically records crash events and let a neutral third country examine and publish the readings recorded at the time of the crash. This would answer that question with 100% irrefutable accuracy.
Regardless of the evidence or who was at fault, in the end it is sad that the life of a dedicated and honorable pilot such as Mr. Wang Wei was lost. Our deepest sympathy for him and his wife.

I think the release of crew members of the US reconnaissance plane means compromise of China's Government.Maybe release is for humanitarianism,but have the US Government ever consider about the humanitarianism to China's people?
One day when the crew members go back to US,they might be the so-called prisoner.In fact,they have been the
heroes of US Government.
We China should not release the crew members firmly!

I have so far admired the way China has handled the issue. China should know that Americans are bullies and will always attempt to use theireconomic and military power to blackmail other countries. Don't give in to any such blackmail. Don't plead with them not to sell so-called sophisticated arms to Taiwan. Instead, tell them if they sell the so-called sophisticated arms to Taiwan, China will make available to countries like Libya, Iraq and Iran, all forms of midium and long range missiles and weapons of mass destruction. That is how to deal with the Americans. Never ever attempt to talk to the Americans politely. They simply believe in force and retaliation.

This is a correct decision of China that American 24 members crew of American spy plane have been sent back but the spy plane has not been given to USA. China is fully entitled to conduct comprehensive investigation concerning the plane.

A right decision
(1). The number one job for all Chinese is: do all best is to find out Mr. Wang Wei, no matter what happen to him, even though there is only 0.1% chance to find out him;
(2). No matter who's fault, Mr Wang Wei contributed his young life for China, he is a hero of China, all Chinese will remember him;
(3). Chinese Government and all Chinese should concern and take care Wang Wei's family, especially his young son;
(4). Chinese government lets U. S crew go back back from China is a right decision, it is helpful for keeping a good relationship between China and U.S, every smart Chinese should support Government's good policy;
(5). It is the time for all smart Chinese especially high educated Chinese take their thoughts from 19 century(at least from 20 years ago) into 21 century, unlike 19 century, now China is one of superpower countries on the world even though is not number one yet, it is not necessery always worry and think about other countries bully China, from this point, they will take reasonable reaction to deal every international events. For this accident, U.S plane landed in China in emergency situation, even though without permission, at most they were mistake by did not follow the right procedure, it is not" violate China's air place", there for China lets them go home without a official apology and any punish after U.S said "sorry", so this is a right and very smart decision. If some Chinese people consider the landing is "violates Chinese air place, U.S bully China..." of course, they will very angery and againt Chinese Government's decision, and think it as "soft" to U. S. U.S plane was collecting information from China, it is not freindly, but it is legal since it is in the international space, many countries did and will do same thing, so, "sorry" is good enough to China, this is the second reason why China's decision is smart, not stupied or "soft", it is clear: this is an accident, U. S. pilot is not possible to use his plane's body to attack Wang Wei's plane, this the third reason I think China's decision is right! Today's students will be tomorrow's leaders in China, I hope they learn how to deal international events from current leaders and support their right foreign policy! What is patriotism?
