Theme: Tales of Kathmandu City—Seeking the Soul of a City; Exploration and Speculation

The Nepal Pavilion reflects the unique design of local houses and temples in Kathmandu. The entire area of the pavilion is themed around the Swayambhunath Stupa, the oldest holy shrine in Kathmandu. All exhibits and decorations, including the pavilion's wood and clay sculptures, were handmade by 350 Nepalese families over the course of two years. The pavilion also features architectural designs dating back to 11th century Nepal.

Oman

Theme: Oman—An Evolving Journey

The Oman Pavilion combines elements of two of its most famous landmarks: the distinctive round tower of Oman's old capital Nizwa and the elegant tower of Sohar, a port city once known as the "gateway to China". The pavilion captures the country's natural beauty and rich traditions; however, it also spotlights Oman's progress in urbanization by exhibiting the changes that have taken place in some of the country's oldest villages.

Pakistan

Theme: Harmony in Diversity

The design of the Pakistan Pavilion resembles the country's Lahore Fort— a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Lahore Fort is a symbol of the city of Lahore, located in northwest Pakistan; the city has become the cultural capital and the heart of modern-day Pakistan. The pavilion depicts the intricate and unique blend of Pakistan's past and present and introduces visitors to Pakistan's rich history and colorful culture.
