Night Banquet in the Tang Dynasty Palace
The dance show Night Banquet in the Tang Dynasty Palace is an all-female group dance played at the 2021 Spring Festival gala broadcast by the Henan Satellite Television Station. It tells the story of a group of musicians preparing for and performing at a night banquet in the Tang court. The dance is inspired by the burial figurines of musicians and dancers of the Sui Dynasty collected at the Henan Museum.
The dancers in the show, wearing costumes resembling Tang tri-colored pottery and crescent-shaped makeup, look like the figurines coming to life. Showcasing the beautiful Central Plains culture to the full, the dance is a mind- blowing visual masterpiece thanks to the use of 5G and AR technologies that put virtual scenes on the stage. Along with the agile movements of the dancers, the audience can also appreciate ancient paintings and artifacts with the help of modern technologies. The national treasures, such as the rectangular wine vessel with lotus and crane, the owl-shaped bronze wine vessel unearthed in the Tomb of Fu Hao, the Jiahu Bone Flute, and the painting of Ladies with Head-pinned Flowers, make the performance a real-life version of Night at the Museum starring the Tang ladies.
The setting for the performance is full of classic imagery that immerses the audience in a cultural atmosphere and evokes in them a sense of cultural community shared by all Chinese. The interplay between the real and the virtual, the ingenious re-creation of the artifacts, the delightful images, and the well-paced storytelling make a perfect show of aesthetic, artistic and realistic greatness all at once. In September 2022, the dance show was selected as one of the 2021 Top Ten National IPs.
《唐宮夜宴》
《唐宮夜宴》是2021年河南衛視春節聯歡晚會播出的女子群舞劇，講述唐朝時期一群少女準備赴宴表演及夜宴演奏過程中的趣事。《唐宮夜宴》的創作靈感來源于河南博物院所藏隋代樂舞俑。在作品中，舞蹈演員身著唐三彩色樣服裝，臉上畫著斜紅妝容，仿佛博物院中的樂舞俑有了生命。該作品將中原文化之美展現得淋漓盡致，5G、AR技術將虛擬場景和現實舞臺相融合，呈現出一場震撼人心的視覺盛宴。伴隨著靈動的舞姿，古畫和文物在現代科技舞美的輔助下，徐徐映入觀眾眼簾——節目中穿插了蓮鶴方壺、婦好鸮尊、賈湖骨笛、《簪花仕女圖》等國寶文物，如同唐朝少女的“博物館奇妙夜”之旅。
《唐宮夜宴》的舞臺場景充盈著古典意象元素，使觀眾置身在特定的中華文化框架內，在觀看中成為“文化共同體”，回歸共同的精神家園。節目創造出“境生象外”的美感，與文物活化重現結合，通過賞心悅目的鏡頭畫面、張弛有致的敘事節奏和匠心獨運的藝術結構來講述主人公故事，實現審美性、藝術性、真實性的有機結合。2022年9月，《唐宮夜宴》入選“2021十大年度國家IP”。
