Dumplings 'unlikely contaminated in transport'
An official of the Hebei Province's quality inspection agency told reporters in Shijiazhuang on Friday that the two batches of dumplings involved in food poisoning in Japan were unlikely to have been contaminated during the transportation process in China.

Snowstorm won't affect food prices 'heavily'
Huang Hai, assistant minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said Thursday during a press conference that the snow storm influenced the nation's food price to some extent, but not "too heavily".
Vegetable prices in snow-hit areas down 3.2%
Vegetables in 14 snow-affected provinces in China monitored by the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) decreased 3.2 percent on Feb. 12 from the average price before the Spring Festival starting on Feb. 7, a MOC source told Xinhua on Thursday.
