They agreed the "Three Evil Forces" remained a major threat to the peace and stability in the region and the world at large, saying the SCO member nations and their servicemen and -women shared a sacred responsibility to crush these evil forces.

During the second phase, the troops staged several live drills in which they practiced a variety of maneuvers, aimed at giving participating troops a better understanding of the land, action sequences and methods of coordinated combat.

The command of the joint military exercises also organized a drill involving battle resolve. The directing department of the command analyzed methods used by ground commanders to determine battle resolve of the training troops and received briefings from them.

At 11:00 a.m. local time (0500 GMT) on Friday, the third phase of the war games, the implementation of military campaigns, kicked off.

The troops also practiced a variety of maneuvers in the last phase of the drill, including firepower readiness, suppressing enemies in residential areas, and putting reserve forces into battle.

The forces also conducted a night drill on raiding "enemy bases."

During the joint drill, China's forces had made notable gains: the strategic scheme capability had been improved, new domains had been explored and new gains had been achieved in the army's management, education, and ideological and political work. Improvement had also been made in weaponry and logistics, and strategic delivery capability had been boosted, according to Major General Ci Guowei, deputy director of the foreign affairs office under the Chinese Defense Ministry.
