Karen Mok, commonly known as Mok Man-Wai in Chinese, is a Hong Kong-based actress and singer-songwriter. After graduating high-school, Mok left Hong Kong to study abroad. She attended the United World College of the Adriatic near Trieste, Italy, from 1987 to 1989, and majored in Italian literature when studying at the University College London, University of London. She is one of the only five Asian celebrities to make the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals Asia-Pacific's (PETA) first-ever best-dressed list in 2008. Her resume also counts three Golden Melody Awards. On 1 October 2011, she married boyfriend Johannes at a church in Italy.
