Yangtse Evening News (揚(yáng)子晚報(bào))

The Nanjing-based commercial paper Yangtse Evening News is China's fourth most-read daily with circulation of 1.74 million. Established on New Year's Day, 1986, the newspaper comes off presses every afternoon at 17 printing centers in Jiangsu Province and neighboring Shanghai and Anhui Province. Its masthead uses calligraphy written for the paper by former CPC general secretary Hu Yaobang. It also publishes a website, which puts out an electronic version of the print edition as well as multimedia reporting and other syndicated content.
