Mi Zhongyi, newly-elected deputy to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), works at a workshop of Transmission Equipment Company of Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. in Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning Province, Feb. 23, 2018. Mi Zhongyi is a worker at Transmission Equipment Company of Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. in Shenyang. He has devoted himself to the work when he first joined the company in 1983. Years of practice and study have turned him into a senior technician. A dozen of his apprentices have also grown into technical experts in the company. Mi is not only a master in technique, but also an innovator at work. His designs for processing crafts have contributed to the research and development of new products. Mi says that workers' attention to details provides the foundation for innovation. As a newly-elected deputy to China's top legislature National People's Congress, Mi promises to stick to his post and fulfill the duty of a NPC deputy while trying his best to make more progress in the future.
