The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is a single-seat, twin-engine fifth-generation super maneuverable fighter aircraft. It possesses a unique combination of speed, altitude, agility, sensor fusion and stealth.

The fighter entered U.S. Air Force service in 2005. However, due to its high production costs, the U.S. Department of Defense ceased placing new orders in 2009.
