Another highlight was the stilt performers -- hundreds of young men and women paraded in on stilts an average of four to five feet off the ground. Amazingly -- not a single one of them fell or even slipped, even while they were doing elaborate coordinated dances.
The cornerstone of the event was certainly the immense dancing dragons, with as many as nine dragons, each handled by dozens of performers, simultaneously moving across the parade route. For the Dragon Year, three separate dragon dances, each with different style and significance, brought the excitement in Jinzhong to a fever pitch. Often dragon dancers and coordinated drummers would hit the stage together, with the dragons dancing to the rhythms produced by the drums.
Although the parade subsided by mid-morning, residents of Yuci and guests were treated to a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by the local government that evening after the full moon rose high into the sky.

規(guī)模巨大的舞龍表演無疑是社火表演的壓軸大戲。九條巨龍?jiān)谏缁鸨硌莸木€路上上下翻騰，每條都由幾十人共同操控。為了慶祝龍年的到來，當(dāng)?shù)靥匾鉁?zhǔn)備了三臺風(fēng)格各異的舞龍表演，這些表演將晉中社火節(jié)推向高潮。舞龍的漢子們與鼓手一同登臺，舞者隨著鼓點(diǎn)歡騰起舞。
社火游行在餉午漸入平靜。不過當(dāng)?shù)卣€特意準(zhǔn)備了絢麗斑斕的煙火盛宴，當(dāng)晚滿月升起后，榆次居民和游客們將大飽眼福。
