Supreme People's Procuratorate
The Constitution states that the people's procuratorates of the PRC are the legal supervision organs of the state. The PRC establishes a Supreme People's Procuratorate, local people's procuratorates at all levels, and special people's procuratorates such as military procuratorates.
The Supreme People's Procuratorate is the highest procuratorial organ. It is mainly responsible for directing the local people's procuratorates at all levels and the special people's procuratorates in exercising legal supervision to ensure unified and correct enforcement of state laws.
The Supreme People's Procuratorate is responsible to and reports on its work to the NPC and its Standing Committee. It directs the work of the local people's procuratorates at all levels and the special people's procuratorates. People's procuratorates at higher levels direct the work of those at lower levels.
The term of office of the procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate is the same as that of the NPC. The procurator-general serves no more than two consecutive terms.

《中華人民共和國(guó)憲法》規(guī)定，中華人民共和國(guó)人民檢察院是國(guó)家的法律監(jiān)督機(jī)關(guān)。中華人民共和國(guó)設(shè)立最高人民檢察院、地方各級(jí)人民檢察院和軍事檢察院等專門(mén)人民檢察院。
最高人民檢察院是中華人民共和國(guó)最高檢察機(jī)關(guān)，主要任務(wù)是領(lǐng)導(dǎo)地方各級(jí)人民檢察院和專門(mén)人民檢察院依法履行法律監(jiān)督職能，保證國(guó)家法律的統(tǒng)一和正確實(shí)施。最高人民檢察院對(duì)全國(guó)人民代表大會(huì)及其常務(wù)委員會(huì)負(fù)責(zé)并報(bào)告工作。最高人民檢察院領(lǐng)導(dǎo)地方各級(jí)人民檢察院和專門(mén)人民檢察院的工作，上級(jí)人民檢察院領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下級(jí)人民檢察院的工作。最高人民檢察院檢察長(zhǎng)每屆任期同全國(guó)人民代表大會(huì)每屆任期相同，連續(xù)任職不得超過(guò)兩屆。
