Modern Weaponry Systems
Defense modernization is characterized by, among other things, modern weaponry systems. With the rapid development of information technology, modern warfare manifests itself in informationized wars and increasingly relies on the strength of synchronized operational systems.
It is therefore essential to develop a systematic framework for defense modernization. China’s armed forces are optimizing the composition of weaponry and equipment, coordinating efforts of all branches in this regard, promoting balanced development of main battle armament, information systems, and support equipment, and comprehensively update standardization, serial development, and interoperability. Obsolete equipment will be replaced by new high-tech hardware.

武器裝備是軍隊現代化的重要標志。隨著信息技術快速發展，信息化戰爭成為現代戰爭的主要形態，體系對抗的特征更加明顯。中國軍隊武器裝備貫徹體系建設思想，完善優化武器裝備體系結構，統籌推進各軍兵種武器裝備發展，統籌主戰裝備、信息系統、保障裝備發展，全面提升標準化、系列化、通用化水平。加大淘汰老舊裝備力度，逐步形成以高新技術裝備為骨干的武器裝備體系。
