The Modern Military Force Structure with Chinese Features
Addressing a CMC meeting on reform on November 24, 2015, Xi Jinping stressed the importance of building a modern military force structure with Chinese features, able to win informationized wars and effectively accomplish its missions.
To achieve this it is essential to build a modern army that meets the strategic demands for maneuver operations as well as multi-dimensional offense and defense; a modern navy capable of near seas defense and far seas protection; a modern air force that integrates air and space capabilities and coordinates offensive and defensive operations; a modern rocket force with both nuclear and conventional capabilities able to deter wars in all battle spaces; a modern strategic support force that integrates existing systems and aligns civil and military endeavors; a modern joint logistic support force that provides joint support for joint operations and joint training; and a modern armed police force that is distinguished by its versatility and effectiveness in the maintenance of stability.
中國特色現代軍事力量體系
2015年11月24日，習近平在中央軍委改革工作會議上提出，努力構建能夠打贏信息化戰爭、有效履行使命任務的中國特色現代軍事力量體系。
主要包括：按照機動作戰、立體攻防的戰略要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化新型陸軍；按照近海防御、遠海防衛的戰略要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化海軍；按照空天一體、攻防兼備的戰略要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化人民空軍；按照核常兼備、全域懾戰的戰略要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化火箭軍；按照體系融合、軍民融合的戰略要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化戰略支援部隊；按照聯合作戰、聯合訓練、聯合保障的要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化聯勤保障部隊；按照多能一體、有效維穩的戰略要求，努力建設一支強大的現代化武警部隊。
