Lieutenant General Mototomi Yamaguchi
was commander-in-chief of the Japanese troops invading china.
He participated in the Sino-Japanese War in 1894 and was known
for his cruelty. In July 1900, he held 13,000 Japanese tr4oops
from Hiroshima to China, to serve as a main force of the allied
troops.
