| 中國是統(tǒng)一的多民族國家。新疆自古以來就是中國多民族共同生活的家園。在漫長(zhǎng)的歷史長(zhǎng)河中，生活在新疆的中華各族兒女密切交往、相互依存、休戚與共，共同開發(fā)建設(shè)新疆，共同維護(hù)邊疆穩(wěn)定、國家統(tǒng)一、民族團(tuán)結(jié)，共同推動(dòng)國家的發(fā)展進(jìn)步。 | China is a unified and multiethnic country. Xinjiang has been home to several of China's ethnic peoples since ancient times. Over the long course of history the ethnic groups in Xinjiang have maintained close relations with each other, trusting and depending on each other and sharing weal and woe together. They have worked hard to build Xinjiang, to safeguard border stability, national unification and ethnic unity, and to promote the development and progress of China. |
| 在國家的統(tǒng)一領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，在少數(shù)民族聚居地方實(shí)行區(qū)域自治，是中國的一項(xiàng)基本政治制度，是中國特色解決民族問題的正確道路的重要內(nèi)容和制度保障。在新疆實(shí)行民族區(qū)域自治制度，符合中國國情和新疆實(shí)際，維護(hù)了國家統(tǒng)一和新疆各民族平等團(tuán)結(jié)發(fā)展。 | Under the unified state leadership, implementing regional autonomy in areas where ethnic minorities live in concentrated communities is a basic political system of China. It is an important step on the correct path towards resolving ethnic problems in a Chinese manner and an institutional guarantee that the path will be followed. Implementing the system of ethnic regional autonomy in Xinjiang is a measure that accords with the prevailing situation in China and with the realities of life and the needs of Xinjiang. Doing so has acted as a bulwark to national unification and to the equality, unity and development of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang. |
| 自1949年新疆和平解放，特別是1955年新疆維吾爾自治區(qū)成立以來，在國家的大力支持和全國各地的有力幫助下，在全區(qū)各族人民的共同努力下，新疆民生不斷改善，各項(xiàng)事業(yè)全面進(jìn)步，社會(huì)大局穩(wěn)定，發(fā)展勢(shì)頭良好。2010年和2014年，中央先后召開新疆工作座談會(huì)，不斷豐富完善治疆理念和治疆方略，新疆經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展進(jìn)入了新的歷史時(shí)期。 | Since the peaceful liberation of Xinjiang in 1949, and the founding of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 1955 in particular, Xinjiang has seen continued improvement in its standard of living, comprehensive progress in various areas, stability in the overall situation of society, and positive momentum for development. All this has been made possible by strong support from the state and other parts of the country, as well as by the concerted efforts of all of Xinjiang's ethnic groups. In 2010 and 2014, the central government held two meetings to discuss work related to Xinjiang, resulting in a steady improvement of the guiding principles and strategies for governing Xinjiang, ushering in a new era in the economic and social development of the region. |
| 新疆的發(fā)展進(jìn)步，是包括新疆各族人民在內(nèi)的全中國人民團(tuán)結(jié)拼搏的偉大成果，是中國各族人民共同繁榮發(fā)展的生動(dòng)體現(xiàn)，是中國民族區(qū)域自治制度在新疆的成功實(shí)踐。 | The development and progress witnessed in Xinjiang has been achieved by all the peoples of China - including the various ethnic groups in Xinjiang - working together in pursuit of a common goal. It gives a vivid expression to the progress made by China's ethnic groups towards achieving common prosperity, and marks the successful implementation of China's system of ethnic regional autonomy in Xinjiang. |
