Guangdong takes various measures to boost robot industry

6月23日，在廣東東莞松山湖XbotPark機器人基地，本末科技的工作人員向參觀者介紹一款機器人。近年來，廣東加快開展具身智能機器人及關鍵技術的應用示范和推廣，組建廣東省具身智能機器人創新中心，促進人工智能與機器人在醫療健康、人才教育、城市管理、特種工業等領域持續創新，支持佛山、東莞、珠海等地發揮生產制造優勢，建設機器人生產基地。據廣東省工信廳統計，2024年廣東工業機器人產量超24萬臺（套），產量同比增長31.2%，連續五年穩居全國第一，占全國市場總量的44%。[新華社記者 李安 攝]

The application and promotion of embodied artificial intelligence robots has been gaining speed in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and a provincial embodied artificial intelligence robot innovation center was established in Shenzhen. In addition, cities like Foshan, Dongguan and Zhuhai are encouraged to give full play to their manufacturing advantages to build robot production bases. Guangdong's industrial robot output exceeded 240,000 units in 2024 with a year-on-year increase of 31.2 percent, ranking first in the country for five consecutive years, according to the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province.
