JAKARTA, July 31 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's Foreign Minister Sugiono and Somalia's Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali agreed to strengthen cooperation in trade, agriculture, maritime affairs, and education in a meeting in Jakarta on Thursday.
"Indonesia-Somalia partnership is increasingly relevant in advancing a just and inclusive world order amid today's global geopolitical dynamics," Sugiono said.
Sugiono reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to technical cooperation and capacity-building in the fisheries, agriculture, meat processing, and health sectors, including Indonesia's contribution to the development of an intensive care unit at the University of East Africa Hospital in Bosaso.
In the field of education, Indonesia encouraged Somali students to take advantage of a wide range of scholarships offered by the archipelagic nation and to explore diplomatic training programs to deepen bilateral ties.
