CAIRO -- Israel has rejected three of Hamas's proposed changes to the Gaza ceasefire deal, according to Egyptian sources on Wednesday.

Egypt and Qatar have delivered Israel's response to Hamas, the sources told Xinhua on condition of anonymity. BEIRUT -- Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem on Wednesday rejected calls for the group to disarm, insisting its weapons are solely for confronting Israel, not for internal use.

ISTANBUL -- Istanbul police detained 773 individuals and seized drugs, unlicensed firearms, and ammunition during a large-scale public security operation in the city, authorities announced on Wednesday.

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said in a televised statement late Wednesday that it launched five drones toward three Israeli military targets earlier in the evening.

In the statement aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, the group's military spokesperson, Yahya Sarea, said the five drones struck military targets in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and the Negev. He claimed the operation was "successful" and "hit the targets."
