BISHKEK, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev held talks on Wednesday with his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on an official visit.
The Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that during the meeting, the two ministers' discussions covered a full range of bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on current regional and international developments, and identified concrete steps to implement the agreements reached at the level of heads of state and government.
The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and confirmed their readiness to continue joint efforts to bring Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations to a new level, the report said.
The parties also discussed cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, among others.
It was noted that cooperation via these multilateral platforms remains a key element of the partnership between the two sides, the ministry added.
The foreign ministers confirmed their willingness to continue coordinating positions on key regional and global issues and also outlined specific joint measures reflected in the adopted Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan for 2025-2026. Enditem
