PRAGUE, June 15 (Xinhua) -- The Czech Republic will send a repatriation flight on Monday to bring home its citizens from Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.
"We help Czechs abroad who cannot return home due to the security situation. Interested parties must report to the embassy in Tel Aviv," the ministry said on social media platform X, adding that the flight will be arranged in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.
Air connections between the two countries have been disrupted since Friday. According to the Czech News Agency, all flights between Prague and Tel Aviv were canceled on Sunday, including six scheduled departures from Prague and seven expected arrivals. In addition, all four round-trip flights scheduled for Monday have also been canceled.
The foreign ministry also issued a warning on Sunday against travel to Israel "in the coming days." On Friday, it had already urged Czech citizens to leave Iran.
The ministry registers hundreds of Czech citizens living in Israel on a long-term basis, and 144 are currently recorded in its voluntary travel registration system, according to the Czech News Agency. Enditem
