Brazil will meet rivals Argentina in an October friendly at the Beijing National Stadium in China's capital, local officials announced on Thursday.

The teams will vie for the Superclassico das Americas trophy at the 2008 Olympic venue, according to Brazil's football confederation.

It will be the Selecao's second encounter at the venue in less than 12 months after their 2-0 victory over Zambia there last October.

The October 11 fixture is Brazil's first match scheduled for after the World Cup, to be played from June 12 to July 13.

Brazil has won the Superclassico das America on the only previous two times the trophy has been disputed. Endi
