He said Kashi is at the front line of anti-terrorism and maintaining social stability. He stressed that local policeman should have effective means to deal with violent terrorists. Meanwhile, he also met with local residents. He said the government's policy should be made according to the will of the people. During his visit to a local primary school, President Xi encouraged children from ethnic minorities to learn both Uighur language and Chinese, and emphasized that learning Chinese will help promote national unity.
