The father of Anders Breivik said he never wants to see his son again. Jens Breivik told Norwegian channel TV2 of his horror at reading internet news reports about his son. Breivik has not been in contact with his parents since he was 15 years old, and his father was adamant that he would never have contact with him again.

He said, "I will never have any more contact with him. In my darkest moments I think that rather than killing all those people, he should have taken his own life. I feel shame and grief for what has happened. I really wish it could be undone. But it has happened, and it's horrible to think about. I am going to live with this for the rest of my life. I often think of how terrible it must be for those who are affected by this. I wish I could do something for them."
