We start with the basketball heroes of the NBA thrilling their fans with an amazing show. Los Angeles Clippers rookie Blake Griffin led an All-Star cast with a slam dunk that has to be seen to be believed, on NBA All-Star Saturday in Los Angeles.

 

The Slam Dunk contest was expected to be a showcase for the Clippers' rising hometown superstar. JaVale McGee, DeMar DeRozan and Serge Ibaka were the other contenders for the crown. The Raptors' DeRozan would get the contest started. He came up with a spectacular reverse jam. Then O-K Thunder star Ibaka delivered the requisite Julius Erving - Michael Jordan classic leap from the free throw line.

Ibaka showed his great athletic ability, but McGee topped them all. He ordered a second basket standard attached to a forklift and placed right next to the first hoop. It took a few tries, but McGee managed to throw down a left-handed dunk while tossing the other ball off the backboard to himself for a right-handed jam. McGee...with a perfect 50 points in the first round.

Griffin had to step up and preserve his reputation as the league's breakout dunk artist. He won a place in the final and faced-off against the creative McGee. The Washington Wizard threw down another difficult dunk, but Griffin delivered a show-stopper. A gospel choir provided the musical accompaniment as Griffin leaped over a car and threw down a two-handed alley-oop.

Teammate Baron Davis lobbed the ball from the car's sunroof, and Griffin did the rest. He easily cleared the 2011 Kia Optima's hood while L-A's Crenshaw Select Choir sang "I Believe I Can Fly" at midcourt. Griffin received 68 percent of the fan votes that determined the final result. He won the slam dunk contest in style.
