Award, the highest honor in China awarded annually in the field of fashion design. At that show, Luo put forth the idea that "an evening dress can be remembered for a lifetime."

When Luo finally appeared hand in hand with star Fan Bingbing at the end of the show, the designer used her collection to illustrate exactly what a woman's elegance is all about.

Luo's label has also attracted a few foreign investors. Their interest has helped the young designer list her company in the US capital market.

Last autumn, Luo's 2009 spring and summer collection was showcased at the New York Fashion Week. The collection sought to introduce a fresh image of Chinese fashion. Here is a chic mix of modern and the traditional. A figure-hugging suit is teamed with a floral patterned skirt. A waistcoat makes the brush painting patterned dress seem practical. And a modern cut shirt is decorated with small Chinese style

bells. Luo Zheng's collection received three rounds of enthusiastic ovations from the audience. Luo's New York debut was a great success. Her designs, a seamless combination of east and west, traditional and modern, artistic and commercial, were well received.

Luo Zheng said, "I like traditional Chinese culture very much. I hope contemporary Chinese designers can use novel, fashionable and wearable designs to display it. And also allow people around the world who wear the clothes to be able to take part in beautiful Chinese culture."
