CIIC: According to what you have said, I think the travel to Maldives is quite convenient, but the consumption like the expensive hotel is still a concern of Chinese people, could you just give a little to talk about this?
M: When I said “expensive”, I mean relatively expensive. In Maldives, it also depends on when the person travels. If you avoid the peek travel season, you can get good bills, good package there, also the products and service we offer is different, if you compare with CT hotel in other part of the world, because we have a hotel, one island, so each island there is a hotel. So all people live there also work there, they have ultimate privacy for the people who live in the island, you would a face a beach like a private beach not crowded, if all these factors considered, it’s not that expensive. It’s worth the money you spent.
CIIC: One of our netizens put up with this question: as a local person yourself, which place in your mind is most attractive?
M: well, it’s the holiday package, I mean; it’s the ideal holiday destination. But it depends on personal preference; many people choose to have an expensive holiday, making it more interesting by combining with a lot of diving, snorkeling, fishing and other sea sports, so it depends on the choice of the tourists.
CIIC: OK, I have a question, as you know, Maldives is called the “the heaven of tourists”, I wonder how the native people spend their holidays? They go abroad or just stay in the heaven?
M: It often happens that when you live someplace, you take things grounded. When we live in Maldives, we don’t appreciate what we have there, the beauty, the peaceful environment, the unpolluted seas and air, and everything, but when you are living abroad, you start missing all those things. So our people spend their holidays outside, they do a bit of shopping, they travel to other countries like Malaysia, India, Sri Lank, Singapore, some of them are also going to China, now, it’s not strictly tourists, they combine with the travel with business. When they come for business, they bring their families and spend several days sight seeing and make it into a holiday. We also have some separate islands, where our people can do swimming or other things, where they take as the picnic place. We also have our facilities there.
