The 2017 China International Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES) concluded with success on September 25.

The four day event attracted 64,178 visitors and saw the signing of domestic trade deals worth 771 million yuan and letters of intent for export worth 236 billion US dollars.

This year’s edition embraced the challenges from a smart era with innovative changes. While continuing to focus on such hot consumer electronics segments as smart home, 3D printing and intelligent robots, the event further implmented its strategy to build industry platforms. This year, new platforms were introduced and new areas were covered with a view to building an international industrial ecosystem.

One of the changes at this year’s edition is that it started a global selection of intelligent hardware products. The selection is designed to showcase the innovative capacity of innovative enterprises and shorten the period of time before the products are put on the market.

As the biggest highlight of the event, the Sixth China International Consumer Electronics Leader Innovation Awards were presented. The award has become a platform for exchange of ideas and showcase of innovative technologies and innovative R&D in the consumer electronics industry. The awards, divided into ten major categories, went to 71 innovative products newly launched by Chinese and foreign leading companies like Samsung, Canon, Haier, Xiaomi, TCL, Hisense and Meizu.

Winning entries included smart interactive refrigerator, smart lock, mini-projector and intelligent air-conditioner.

The Second China (Qingdao) Big Data Summit Forum was also held on the sidelines of the event to facilitate exchanges among companies, research institutes and universities.
