To showcase the most vivid dream cities to visitors worldwide at the upcoming Shanghai World Expo is the lifetime dream for Boris Krasnov, chief designer of the Russian pavilion.

Krasnov, president of the famous Russian firm Krasnov Design, told Xinhua that the Shanghai Expo was an important opportunity for him to show his work in China.

"To fully display the artistic design of the Russian pavilion at Shanghai World Expo is my honor and my dream," Krasnov said.

Inspired by famed Russian children's literature writer Nikolay Nosov, the pavilion will reflect the abundance of Russia in famous literature and arts, Krasnov said.

The novel "The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends" tells the journeys of little Dunno and his friends in fantastic cities, including the city of flowers, the city of sun and the city of moon.

Krasnov said the trilogy was correspondingly displayed in the Russian pavilion, featuring the prospects of future cities and urban life.

The flower city on the first floor will be decorated in green with every feature in huge size, so as to let visitors feel themselves small and be children again.

The second floor, the solar city, will mainly exhibit Russian youth's technological achievements.

The moon city on the third floor is to ignite visitors' boundless imagination about the future of the world.

Krasnov said the exhibits, rich in both Russian flavors and high technology, were carefully chosen from various regions of the country.

He said he hopes the Russian pavilion will be successfully displayed and popular in the Expo.

In addition, Krasnov hailed the theme of the Shanghai Expo as a wonderland for countries to display themselves and their understandings on hot issues.

He expects the Expo to be as excellent as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and hopes the Russian pavilion will be loved by Chinese visitors, especially the children.
