Le Pingyu Watermelon Garden

This garden is located in Si Ge Zhuang Village in Daxing District. In a 6000 square meter hothouse, numerous varieties of watermelons cultivated via different methods are exhibited. It looks more like a watermelon museum instead of a vegetable hothouse.

The hothouse consists of a product hall and a picking garden. In the product hall, visitors can purchase different species of watermelons. Price may vary depending on the season. In the picking garden, the watermelon plants bear fruits of various colors and shapes, which are quite eye-catching. The garden keeper has helpfully attached a label to all the ripe watermelons so that visitors do not pick fruits that are not ready.

When in the garden, do not miss tasting the "String Watermelon" – the smallest watermelon in the world imported especially from Germany. This variety of watermelon is extremely rich in Vitamin C despite its petiteness.

Entrance tickets for the watermelon garden are 20 yuan per person. Each of the watermelons in all varieties is 30 yuan. Tickets will be free if visitors pick 10 or more melons.
