The Shuimogou scenic area, 50 kilometers from Chaotian town, Guangyuan city, belongs to the Micang Mountain tectonic zone. At an average altitude of 1,100 meters, the 40 square kilometers scenic site is covered by forests, valleys, alpine meadows, karst landforms, waterfalls, streams and lakes. The serene and diverse landscape is scarcely populated and instead called home by large numbers of rare animal and plant species, presenting an ideal outdoor adventure experience, especially in summer, when the highest temperature stands at 20 degrees Celsius at the site.
