Holiday making options for spring in Renshou county

South to the Sichuan capital of Chengdu, Renshou county in Meishan city offers a plenty of choices for a relaxing spring outing in March. For flower admiring, visitors may go to the vast fields in Qinggang, Wengong, Zhonggang, Caojia and Qujiang townships, where magnolia, crabapple, rapeseed, cherry, plum, peach and pear are in full blossom, or the floriculture site in Shigu village, Qingshui town that grows bird-of-paradise, Barberton daisy, rose, and chrysanthemum. The Heilongtan Reservoir scenic site provides changing views across 85 mountain peaks-turned-islands, calm water spreading for 23.6 square kilometers, and valuable cultural relics not immersed into the water, including an ancient stone-carved Chinese dragon and the ink bamboo painting by Song Dynasty (960-1279) painter Wen Tong.
