The provincial highway S211 is hemmed by seas of blossoming plants spreading along the banks of the Dadu River during March. Basking in warm sunshine and spring breezes, the flowering rapeseeds, cherries, pears, plums, apples, and peaches turn a riot of diverse colors, attracting large crowds to Chuni, Dewei and Jiajun townships in Luding county. The Moxi Old Town is located some distance away from the road, where visitors may enjoy the endless canola fields of bright yellow color, overlook the snow-capped peaks of Gongga Mountain, or enter the Hailuogou National Park for a soothing hot spring bath among the spectacular glacier scenery.
