Recently, as the weather clears up, the magnificent scene of mountains bathed in the golden sunshine above the sea of clouds returns to Wanggangping, a place in Sichuan’s Shimian County.   

Wanggangping is only over 40 kilometers from the main peak of Gongga Mountain, and thus is an ideal place for people to watch the peaks of the Gongga Mountain from an unique angle.

According to historical records, Wanggangping was once an important node along the ancient Tea and Horse Trade Route (South). 

Right now, an international eco-tour resort here is under construction. The resort will contain such facilities as sightseeing cable-cars and ski resort.
