Garze mountain tourism festival to open in Aug.

The 2017 Sichuan Garze Mountain Tourism Festival will kick off in mid-August.

Themed “Gathering in Garze, a holy and pure place and a paradise for self-driving tours,” the event is sponsored by Garze People’s Government and Sichuan Provincial Tourism Development Committee.

Full preparation is now underway.

The activities of this year’s edition can be summarized as “1+6+N. “1”stands for one main activity; “6”stands for special promotional activities for six counties; “N”stands for a number of supporting activities.

The main activity, to be held in mid-August, consists of a wide range of sub-activities, including an opening ceremony, the first Daocheng Yading Shangri-La International Mountain Tourism Summit Forum, the First Joint Conference of China Greater Shangri-La Tourism Promotion Alliance, a promotional meeting for Garze to seek investment from famous enterprises, exhibition and performance of ethnic culture of Garze, an international symphony concert and a photo exhibition of Garze’s tourist attractions.
