The first Yinchuan Biannual Art Exhibition themed "For an Image, Faster than Light" kicked off at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on September 9.

Incorporating videos, photos, paintings, sculptures and other art forms, the exhibition aims to reveal conflicts and demonstrate social, political and natural environmental problems in the current world through over 100 works created by 73 renowned artists from all over the world.

The exhibition will last until December 18 and an international seminar centering on the development of contemporary art will also be held during the event.
