Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has won a 22 million yuan (US$3.46 million) grant from the central government to build 25 dairy cattle breeding farms, the Ningxia Daily reported.

Ningxia is one of the best regions for breeding dairy cattle in China. Industry experts said the large-scale breeding model will ease quality control beginning at the source and improve prevention and control of animal illnesses so as to reduce epidemic disease risks.
