The total power consumed in the whole Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region hit 34.1 billion kilowatt-hour during the first half of this year, up 15.9 percent from a year earlier, Ningxia Power Company said July 25.
In breakdown, the power used in the primary industry increased 15.31 percent to 471 million kilowatt-hour. The secondary industry consumed 31.76 billion kilowatt-hour of power, up 16.48 percent year on year. The power consumption from the service industry rose 18.45 percent to 1.17 billion kilowatt-hour.
Besides, the household electricity consumption declined 8.27 percent to 700 million kilowatt-hour.
