The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is the burial site of the legendary Chinese, the Yellow Emperor. It is located in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province. The Yellow Emperor, named Xuan Yuan, was the head of a clan from the ancient time and was respected as the ancestor of the Chinese nation. This mausoleum was built by Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty (202BC-220AD) as a sacrificial altar. (more)
