6. Jushantang Hostel at Yixian 居善堂   

Located on the upper course of the Hongcun water system, Jushantang was built in 1860 as a typical farmhouse with a small courtyard and wooden beds with flower carvings. Guestrooms and the decorations have a long history, featuring elegant wood carving and refined wood walls and windows. Behind the hall there is a waterside pavilion, including a rockery, garden and fish pond, etc, which give you a feel of garden in South China style. Many customers like to drink a cup of tea and to play chess under the trees. Outdoor barbecue is another unique feature in here. Sitting in the archaic house and drinking a cup of tea while enjoying the Huangmeixi (Huangmei Opera) is really an unforgettable experience.
