The list of China's top 500 service companies in 2010 only covers state-owned, state-controlled and private service companies.

There are 289 state-owned and state-controlled service companies among the top 500, accounting for 57.8 percent of the companies. Their revenue is 10.0269 trillion yuan, accounting for 86.19 percent of total revenue of the top 500. Their profits reached 747.7 billion yuan, accounting for 86.93 percent of total profits of the top 500. Their assets total 67.0942 trillion yuan, accounting for 91.34 percent of total assets of the top 500.

There are 211 private service companies among the top 500, accounting for 42.20 percent of the companies. Their revenue is 1.6065 trillion yuan, accounting for 13.81 percent of total revenue of the top 500. They have profits totaling 112.4 billion yuan, accounting for 13.07 percent of total profits of the top 500. Their assets total 6.3637 trillion yuan, accounting for 8.66 percent of total assets of the top 500.
