Born in Sichuan in 1968, Song Hongbing is a famous Chinese financial expert who correctly predicted the U.S. subprime lending crisis in 2008. Song focuses his study on U.S. history and global financial history. Song, who received his master's degree from the American University in Washington D.C., U.S., once served as a senior consultant to U.S. housing-finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Song's controversial book "Currency Wars" has been a best-seller since its publication in 2007. He added two sequels in July 2009 and May 2011, respectively, and the fourth will hit bookshelves in December.
