The new Peugeot 508 mid-size sedan, launched at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, will be made in China by Dongfeng Peugeot - a joint venture between the French car brand and Dongfeng Motor Corporation. It will make its Asian debut at the 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition.

The 508 is based on the same platform as the C5. Customers have a choice of three gasoline and five diesel engines ranging from 1.6 to 3.0L. But the diesel versions, the station wagon, and GT performance versions are unlikely to be put on sale in China.
