Ticket sales for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 officially opened to the public at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, marking a key milestone in the countdown to the global sporting event set to return to Italy in February 2026.

Organizers announced that tickets for the Winter Olympics, scheduled from February 6 to 22, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis via the official website. The sales for the Paralympic Winter Games, to be held from March 6 to 15, are ongoing.

The limited-time early bird promotion offering discounted prices for selected sessions, which began from the one-year countdown, will remain valid until May 6.

According to the Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee, over 660,000 tickets were sold during the initial pre-sale phases, with significant interest from both domestic and international buyers. Ticket holders from Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France accounted for a large portion of early sales, with the age group from 25 to 34 being the most active.

Each buyer may purchase up to 25 digital tickets, which are nominative and require the ticket holder's name. Name changes will be permitted free of charge starting in December 2025 through the official ticketing app. Children aged 3 and under may attend for free if seated on a guardian's lap.

Visa is the official payment method. Organizers emphasized that tickets and hospitality packages should only be purchased through official channels to avoid the risk of non-delivery or invalidation.

The Winter Olympic Games will feature 16 days of competitions across 116 events in venues including Milano, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Bormio, Livigno, and the historic Arena di Verona, which will host the closing ceremony. The Paralympic Games will feature nine days of events and 79 medal titles, with over 600 athletes expected to participate.

The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games mark the return of the Olympic Winter Games to Italy 20 years after Torino 2006.
