The former record belonged to Andre Emmett, who scored 71 points for Shandong Gold vs. Jiangsu on Mar. 7, 2010.

Douby finished with 25 of 38 shots, including nine 3-pointers, as well as 16 of 20 on the free throw line, He opened the game with a 3-pointer as Zhejiang built a 36-25 lead and never fell down thereafter.

He was substituted with 3:17 remaining in the final quarter, leaving a crazy night with 75 points among "MVP" shouts from home crowd. His dominant play made people guess whether he would have beaten Kobe Bryant's 81 points in 2005-2006 NBA season if Douby had been left on court to the very end.
