Bayern started as expected aggressive and dominant while relegated team Hertha Berlin was concerned about their last performance at first division.

With 19 minutes into the match, Bayern striker Ivica Olic slotted home from 14 meters after a perfect build-up play by midfielder Arjen Robben. Hertha Berlin didn' t showed any will to go for a goal at their last Bundesliga performance until the end of the first half.

The Bavarians seemed happy with the neat 1-0 lead but they were punished by Berlin at the 59th minute. Striker Adrian Ramos netted a diagonal pass from close distance by midfielder Cicero.

Bayern pilled on the pressure and took the gloves off; midfielder Arjen Robben donated two goals to obtain the championship bowl at Berlin Olympia stadium with a 3-1 victory over relegated Berlin.

"It is marvellous that we kept the rhythm and today gained a victory, therefore we will have a splendid celebration tonight" , said champion coach Louis van Gaal.

Schalke was held to a goalless draw in Mainz after evenly balanced 90 minutes. Schalke striker Jefferson Farfan ensured the first highlight of the match when he rattled the right post from 11 meters.

In the 34th minute, Schalke youngster goalie Manuel Neuer turned a shot by Andre Schuerrle from close distance around the bar. He also saved a self induced penalty 17 minutes before final whistle.
