Geographically part of Taiwan, the Diaoyu Island and its affiliated islands (the Diaoyu Islands for short) are situated to the northeast of the Taiwan Island. Located between 25°40'–26°00' north latitude and 123°20' –124°40' east longitude, they include the Diaoyu Island, Huangwei Islet, Chiwei Islet, Nanxiao Island, Beixiao Island, Nan Islet, Bei Islet and Fei Islet, with a total land area of 5.69 square kilometers. [Photo: Sina.com.cn]
