Starting March 5, the official website of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, will enroll a total of 2008 Honorary Official Website Visitors as part of a campaign to mark the 500-day countdown to the Olympics.

 

The countdown falls on March 27. Any web user who sends their best wishes for the Olympics to the official website or the website of SOHU company will have the opportunity to become one of the official website's Honorary Visitors. The said websites are designated to promote the countdown celebrations from March 5, 2007.

 

The year 2007 is crucial for the preparation of the Olympic Games, and more and more people want to take part in the event and share the Olympic joy. The present campaign will be placed under the theme "I Participate, I Contribute and I Enjoy". Its aim is to encourage more people to send their blessings for the Olympics, take part in the Olympics and follow the Olympic preparations.

 

The number of Honorary Official Website Visitors symbolizes the year when the Beijing Olympics will be staged. From?March 5?and until 12:00 of March 26, the official website will publish the first batch of 500 Honorary Visitors, including official website users, officials from the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), sport and art stars, volunteers and disabled people. At the moment, world-famous Chinese volleyball woman player Lang Ping has already become an Honorary Visitor.

 

From March 5, web users can send their blessings and wishes to the official website's background and thereafter be registered as visitors of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games by filling in their ID information, address and telephone number.
