A nine-month investigation suggests Yasser Arafat may have been poisoned with polonium, Al-Jazeera reported.

Tests conducted at Institut de Radiophysique in Lausanne, Switzerland, have revealed that Arafat's last personal belongings -- his clothes, his toothbrush and even his iconic kaffiyeh -- contained abnormal levels of polonium, a rare, highly radioactive element.

And the late Palestinian leader's blood, sweat, saliva and urine showed traces as well, which means there his body contained a high level of polonium when he died.

在瑞士洛桑放射物理研究所的試驗(yàn)顯示，阿拉法特的衣物、牙刷、甚至代表性的頭巾等個(gè)人物品中，均含有超常劑量的釙。釙是一種罕見且有高度放射性的元素。

此外，這名已逝巴勒斯坦前領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人的血液、汗液、唾液和尿液也顯示釙痕跡。也就是說，他死亡的時(shí)候，體內(nèi)的釙含量很高。
