Veteran director Ann Hui's "A Simple Life" scooped five gongs for best film, director, screenplay, actor and actress at the 31st Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday, AFP reported.

"I would like to thank Hong Kong," Ann Hui said after grabbing the best director award. "I grew up here and I received my education here. This city has given me a lot of inspiration."

The best actor and best actress honor went to the film's lead characters played by Andy Lau and Deanie Ip.

Tsui Hark's 3-D extravaganza "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" led the race with 13 nominations and won five prizes.

It snapped up honors for best film editing, action choreography, art direction, sound design and visual effects.

據法新社報道，周日，在第31屆香港電影金像獎頒獎典禮上，資深導演許鞍華的《桃姐》獲得最佳影片、最佳導演、最佳編劇、最佳男主角、最佳女主角五項大獎。

許鞍華領取最佳導演獎后說：“想多謝香港這個城市，我在這兒長大，受教育。這里是我的靈感來源。”

最佳男主角、最佳女主角由該片的主演劉德華、葉德嫻獲得。

徐克的3D大片《龍門飛甲》以13項提名領跑，獲得五項。

它斬獲了最佳剪輯、最佳動作設計、最佳美術指導、最佳音響效果和最佳視覺效果獎。
