Veteran journalist Mike Wallace, famed for his interviews on the US news program 60 Minutes, has died at age 93, BBC reported.
A spokesperson for CBS said he died on Saturday and had been in declining health in recent years.
Wallace was one of the original hosts of 60 Minutes when it began in 1968. In almost 40 years on 60 Minutes, Wallace worked on some 800 investigative reports.
He interviewed every US president since John F Kennedy -- with the exception of George W Bush -- and dozens of other world leaders such as Vladimir Putin, Ayatollah Khomeini and Deng Xiaoping.
